Donna Allen is an Accredited Social Worker and Neurofeedback Practitioner with more than two decades of experience across human services, community mental health, and integrative brain-based therapies. She works with Goodsky as part of the multidisciplinary team, supporting personalised, one-to-one mental health programs through psychotherapy and neurofeedback.
Donna’s professional background spans over 20 years in human services, including extensive experience in community mental health, program leadership, and therapeutic support for individuals and families. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong interest in how brain function influences emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and quality of life. Her exploration into neurofeedback began through a desire to support people beyond traditional therapeutic approaches, particularly where medication or talk-based therapy alone had not produced lasting change. Neurofeedback offered a non-invasive, evidence-informed way to support brain regulation by reading electrical activity and providing feedback that allows the brain to self-correct. Donna combines neurofeedback with psychotherapy where appropriate, recognising that addressing both neurological patterns and lived experience can accelerate recovery and deepen therapeutic outcomes. Her work is grounded in collaboration, flexibility, and respect for individual preferences and needs.
