Dr Roby Abeles

Senior Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist

About Dr Roby Abeles

Dr Roby Abeles is a senior clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 30 years' experience working in trauma, addiction, and integrative mental health care. She works with Goodsky as a Program Consultant, contributing specialist clinical insight to the development and oversight of personalised, one-to-one mental health programs.

Roby's work is grounded in a whole-person approach that recognises the close relationship between the nervous system, brain, body, and lived experience. Throughout her career, she has supported individuals with complex presentations, particularly where standard talk-based therapy alone has not led to lasting change.

At Goodsky, Roby provides consultative support to ensure programs are clinically sound, evidence-informed, and appropriate for individuals with complex trauma histories.

Dr Abeles is the lead psychotherapist at Abeles Consulting, where she has provided integrative trauma and addiction therapy for over three decades. Her clinical work is informed by contemporary research in interpersonal neurobiology, neuroscience, gut\u2013brain health, and brain- and body-based therapeutic approaches.

She has a long-standing interest in therapies that work from the "bottom up," supporting nervous system regulation and physiological safety alongside psychological insight.
