Lee-Anne Borham is a Counsellor and Certified NeuroAcoustic Sound Therapist who works with Goodsky as a Consulting Counsellor, supporting trauma-informed care and nervous system regulation within personalised, one-to-one mental health programs. She trained with Dr Jeffrey Thompson and is certified in NeuroAcoustic Sound Therapy (also known as Bio-Tuning or Sonic Induction Therapy™).
Lee-Anne brings extensive experience in suicide prevention and community mental health, shaped by both professional practice and lived experience. Early in life, she was deeply impacted by her father’s survival of a suicide attempt, an experience that influenced her long-standing commitment to supporting individuals at risk and addressing the underlying roots of emotional distress.
She spent 13 years managing Lifeline services across Queensland, working closely with individuals experiencing crisis, trauma, and overwhelming emotional pain. Through this work, Lee-Anne developed a deep understanding of the long-term impact of childhood trauma and the importance of early, compassionate intervention.
After returning to her person-centred counselling foundations, Lee-Anne discovered NeuroAcoustic Sound Therapy (NST), a sound-based therapeutic approach developed by Dr Jeffrey Thompson. Recognising its potential to support gentle nervous system regulation, she trained directly with Dr Thompson to become a certified practitioner.
At Goodsky, Lee-Anne integrates NeuroAcoustic Sound Therapy with counselling, providing a calm, contained space where individuals can process emotional experiences while the nervous system is gently supported. Her approach emphasises presence, safety, and deep listening, allowing therapeutic work to unfold at a pace that feels respectful and manageable.
Lee-Anne’s work is grounded in compassion, presence, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. She integrates counselling and sound-based therapy to support regulation and healing without forcing insight or emotional intensity.
Her approach prioritises safety and attunement, particularly where trauma or long-standing emotional patterns are present.
As a Consulting Counsellor and NeuroAcoustic Sound Therapist, Lee-Anne contributes specialist trauma-informed and nervous system–focused support within Goodsky’s multidisciplinary model of care. Her role is consultative and collaborative, complementing psychological and medical treatment pathways where appropriate.
