Founder, Health Recovery Centre
Lizzi Badham is a qualified naturopath with over 15 years of clinical experience. She graduated in 2008 with formal qualifications in naturopathy and Western herbal medicine and is a current member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA).
She has a clinical interest in the relationship between digestive health, nutritional biochemistry, and mental wellbeing. Early in her practice, Lizzi observed a frequent overlap between mood presentations and gastrointestinal dysfunction, prompting further study into the developing research surrounding the gut–brain axis.
In 2015, Lizzi undertook additional professional development in microbiome analysis and worked alongside Professor Henry Butt of BioScreen Medical to deepen her understanding of microbiome assessment and interpretation within naturopathic practice.
Her clinical approach may include nutritional medicine, herbal medicine, lifestyle support, microbiome assessment, and functional testing where appropriate. Areas considered during assessment may include digestive function, nutritional status, blood sugar regulation, hormonal balance, sleep quality, and nervous system regulation.
Within the Goodsky Mental Health Program, Lizzi works as part of a multidisciplinary team. She contributes naturopathic assessment and physiological support strategies that complement psychological and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions delivered by registered practitioners.
Lizzi is committed to ongoing professional development and evidence-informed practice. She provides individualised naturopathic care within her professional scope and in collaboration with other health practitioners where appropriate.
